Nationalistic Harmonies: Rutter, Stravinsky, Elgar, and Rimsky-Korsakov

 

After a short break, the SSO Chorale makes a comeback, presenting the pinnacle of choral compositions by the contemporary English composer John Rutter, alongside the enduring legacy of Russian musical luminary Igor Stravinsky. Coupled with compositions from the same geographic origins by Sir Edward Elgar and Nicolai Rimsky-Korsakov, this program celebrates the essence of nationalism at its peak.
