Germany surely is the cradle of great symphonic music, and with this concert we have bookend composers to illustrate that notion. Johann Sebastian Bach was the quintessential composer of the baroque era in music, and one of the most prolific of all time. Continuing the celebration of Peter’s twenty years on the podium, the Orchestra is joined by the SSO Chorale to sample some of the Maestro’s favorite Bach Choruses. Rounding out the program, the music of Romanticist Richard Wagner with music both dramatic and comedic.
