The Springfield Youth Orchestras and Youth Choir provides a comprehensive and enriching musical education experience for students in and around Clark County, Ohio. Established in 1959, the Springfield Youth Orchestra offers school age students ranging in elementary school through high school the opportunity to perform and learn in a variety of solo, chamber, and full ensemble settings.

In 2019, the Springfield Symphony Jazz Orchestra was founded, under the direction of Todd Stoll, Springfield native and VP of Education for Jazz at Lincoln Center (NY).

your SSO

Ticket sales cover less than 30% of the orchestra’s operating expenses, making contributed income essential to the SSO’s survival. In this way, the SSO is no different than any other American orchestra. The difference is that this orchestra is yours!

We offer many levels of donor engagement. Gifts of all sizes make a big difference.
