Springfield Symphony Youth Orchestras Springfield Children’s Chorus In Concert

The Springfield Symphony Orchestra will present the Springfield Youth Orchestras and Children’s Chorus in concert on Monday, November 25th at 7:00pm at Southgate Baptist Church, 2111 S. Center Blvd., Springfield, OH.  This annual concert will feature the Springfield Youth Symphony, Carlos Elias, conductor, the Springfield Youth Chamber Orchestra under the direction of Julie Ellis, and the Springfield Youth String Ensemble, directed by Patrick Barrett.  The concert will also feature the Springfield Children’s Chorus, Sean Hurley director.  The concert is open to the public and free of charge, with a pass-the-hat opportunity to support the youth during the performances.

Music will include selections by Tchaikovsky, Grieg, and more. The evening will also feature pre-concert performances by the “Live Wire” chamber ensembles of the Springfield Youth Symphony beginning at 6:15 pm.

The Springfield Youth Orchestras and Chorus feature young musicians from schools and home schools from an eight county area.  The Springfield Youth Symphony is one of the few opportunities in Clark County for students to perform in a full orchestra setting.
